In collaboration with its partners in the C4D+ project, the University of Malmö in Sweden and the NGO AIETI in Spain, Com4Dev is organizing an international meeting in Montpellier on October 8 and 9, 2025, on the theme of “Thinking about tomorrow’s cooperation”, which will be of interest to all those involved in international cooperation.
The aim of the Rencontres is to provide a space for critical reflection on international cooperation, and to present initiatives that can bring about change. More specifically, they will explore how communication for development (C4D), knowledge management (KM) in projects and other participatory processes can contribute concretely to changing mentalities and co-constructing more equitable partnerships between Europe and the Global South.
October 8 is structured around 3 round tables on changing narratives, knowledge management and empowerment.
October 9 will focus more specifically on communication for knowledge development and management, with working groups to come up with initiatives.
Students from the Master ADEV program at Paul Valéry University are involved in the follow-up to the Rencontres, a project that will be carried out throughout 2025-2026.
The Rencontres are part of the Euro-Africa Biennial in Montpellier (October 6-12).
