Change-oriented approaches

Com4Dev favors change-oriented approaches to ensure that the results of its actions are fully visible and qualifiable for all stakeholders.

These approaches combine a variety of methodologies that enable consultation on objectives and ownership of change processes by stakeholders, and reinforce the sustainability of results, towards more systemic impacts.

This appropriation of change processes and the multiple factors that determine them (knowledge, changes in attitudes, new practices) is measured at both individual and organizational levels.

These methodologies provide a means of monitoring, evaluation and learning that goes beyond conventional approaches aimed primarily at reporting to donors.

They enable project management plans to be drawn up for and by the players themselves, giving them the ability to steer and adjust implementation, while learning from it.

They also shed light on the processes underlying change, which explain how it occurs. The question of eventual scaling up or systemic impact thus hinges on the reproduction and dissemination of knowledge and behaviors that pursue a desired and realistic change, while progressing towards long-term impact.
