Training

To set common objectives, ensure ownership and dissemination

Com4Dev offers training courses throughout the year on the know-how and methodologies applied in its projects.

Training courses are generally run on an in-house basis, in order to collectively strengthen the capacities of teams or strategic project groups. Inter-organizational training is also possible, bringing together project managers and field agents from several organizations.

These training courses are organized on an à la carte basis and focus on project engineering and capitalization. They are designed to provide concrete case studies and feedback from proven experience.

Com4Dev also works with training organizations, teaching a module on Communication for Development within the ADEV Alter Développement et Territoires master’s degree program at Montpellier’s Paul Valery University, whose students are regularly involved, whenever possible, in the association’s various projects, so as to provide them with practical application contexts. It also involves staff from partner organizations in these training courses, so as to strengthen knowledge and networks.

Within the framework of Erasmus+ projects on Development Communication, Com4Dev is in contact with various universities in Europe, notably the University of Malmö (Sweden), the only university in Europe to offer a master’s degree in Development Communication, and with the Center for Applied Research in Communication, Culture and New Technologies(CICANT) at the Lusophone University (Universidade Lusófona) in Porto (Portugal).

Strategies for increasing the impact of your projects

Are you at the start of a project and want to integrate communication and advocacy activities? Are existing communication tools sorely lacking in effectiveness? Why not start by streamlining your energies and resources by drawing up a communications strategy and knowing how to implement and evaluate it?

Capitalize on and enhance its activities

For beneficiaries, donors and all those involved in development, work that is not valued is invisible. However, not all organizations have the means to call on communications agencies to produce tools. So it’s important to master some of them on your own.

Innovation for development

Innovating in projects means using new tools and methods that enable greater participation by beneficiaries and greater impact of results.

How to develop a development communication and knowledge management strategy for solidarity organizations?

The communication strategy for development and knowledge management must be drawn up at the same time as the overall strategy for the organization/projects.

Learning to capitalize

Capitalizing, i.e. “moving from experience to shareable knowledge” (Pierre de Zutter), means enabling an organization both to learn from its experience and to pass on its knowledge. Learning how to capitalize enables you to understand the issues involved, define the different phases and discover the methods for producing and distributing capitalization media.
