Fair Cooperation Full Impact” conference: a hot topic

More than a hundred international cooperation players took part on October 8 and 9 in Montpellier (and 60 online) in the Rencontres organized by the Erasmus+ project’s C4D+ consortium (University of Malmö, AIETI in Spain and Com4Dev). The latter were organized as part of the Euro-Africa Biennial to rethink tomorrow’s cooperative ventures.

The 1st day was brilliantly introduced by Carole Karemera, artist and cultural actress in Rwanda, and Jean-Pierre Olivier de Sardan, social scientist and author of “la revanche des contextes”.

The roundtables were organized around fundamental ingredients that make up the DNA of development communication: changing narratives, valorizing local knowledge, networking knowledge management and empowerment. The inspiring presentations focused on concrete examples of action. Participants were able to question these approaches during debates and working groups on Day 2.

The mobilization around a desire to improve international cooperation actions, the benevolence of the dialogues, the willingness to share experiences and the support of students from the Master ADEV program at Université Paul Valéry have enabled connections that will undoubtedly last beyond the Rencontres!

We’ll be sharing more videos here and a publication in the coming months.
