It’s here!
After several months of discussions, planning, debates, and international collaborations, it’s finally here.
“How can we cooperate in a world in crisis?” is much more than just a publication.
Coordinated by Com4Dev, this is the result of a collaborative effort carried out with our partners AIETI (Spain) andMalmö University (Sweden), with the support of students from the ADEV Master’s degree from Paul Valéry University in Montpellier. This was part of the C4D+ project, funded by Erasmus+.
Researchers, practitioners, and members of networks, associations, and universities come together here to share their experiences in pursuit of a common goal: to rethink international cooperation based on the knowledge, practices, and realities on the ground.
This publication also builds on the Fair Cooperation Full Impact Meetings, held in Montpellier in October 2025 as part of the Euro-Africa Biennial, which helped fuel this collective reflection.
As you turn the pages, you’ll discover 16 initiatives from various regions of the world centered around four key drivers:
→ Changing narratives: the value of imagining and shaping sustainable futures.
→ Valuing local knowledge, visions, and priorities.
→ Network-based knowledge management and capitalization.
→ Empowering people to take action: from token participation to real action.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to this adventure.
Because more equitable cooperation is also built through the sharing of knowledge.
